These are the biggest Nepali festivals and our biggest celebration as well. Our community members exchange their goodwill and share the best wishes among each others while feasting on delicious food accompanied with singing and dancing. Teej is a special Nepali festival celebrated by women where they dress up in traditional Saris and celebrate with singing, dancing, and eating. However, the day is also accompanied with fasting and a spiritual aspect.

The annual summer picnic is our biggest outdoor event, usually celebrated in Jacobson park. In this event, we enjoy the day cooking/barbecuing different food, organizing different games for kids & adults, and absorbing the summer weather. While usually in mid-July, the date and time may vary/change.

The Nepali New Year marks the beginning of the Nepali calendar year and occurs during the second week of April. This event is usually celebrated with the entire community gathering, enjoying, and wishing the best for the upcoming year to each other. The celebration date and time mentioned here is tentative and is fixed later on by the organization.
