Our Vision

The Association of Nepali in Kentucky America Inc. (ANKA) is established as a nonprofit organization holding 501(c)3 registration in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. ANKA exists to unite Nepali people living in and around Lexington to collectively help each other in times of need. Additionally, it works to preserve our social, cultural, and religious norms and values and pass it on to the next generation.

To achieve the above-mentioned vision, ANKA hosts educational, financial, cultural, recreational, and other various services programs, seminars, and forums for the community. In the past, these have included Nepali Language classes, a pre-college preparation seminar, fundraising during times of tragedy, summer picnics, volleyball games, blood donations, and celebrations for Dashain, Deepawali, Teej, Holi, and New Year’s.

ANKA also keeps in regular communication with its community members. We are updating community information and upgrading our information system – including our email, website and social media. We also jointly organize various programs with other local organizations to serve the community.

Altogether, ANKA exists as an organization to represent, aid, and enable the people of the local Nepali community and further their success.
